Question:

Are you MORE than you realize?

I had someone approach me this morning at the gym and ask if I was a bodybuilder. I laughed.....and said no, but that I do lift weights a lot....and that I had been asked once if I 'competed' in bodybuilding.....so I guess people think I look like a bodybuilder - but frankly, I don't 'see' it....but others do. I wish I did see it....because obviously, they see something I don't.....

Are you blind to things about yourself that others see? Are you MORE than you realize???

  1. yeah that kinda thing happened to me once when i was younger like 13 a few people came up to me and asked if i modeled

and i said no to all of them and then like a year later i tried out for a company(model) and i got it

    i realize now i am

  2. Wow. your deep.

  3. I am no longer in an age group that people tell me things, that I did not already know about myself.

I am very aware of who I am ,what I stand for and what I believe in.I am not into idle flattery by others at all.And have no need for it.

    Planets.

  4. Yes. People say "Your a great drawer, ever consider being an artist" I say no. (I like to draw but I like my job already.)

People say "Wow you are great on doing flips, are you a cheerleader" I say NO. (I dislike the thought of being a cheerleader!)

People say "Wow you are tall and slender do you want to be a model?" I say h**l NO! (One just because I am tall doesn't mean you can be a model, and models are size1-3, I'm a 5-6. I don't want to be a stick figure. No offense to models.)

People say "you are good with kids do you want kids?" I love kids but I don't want kids.

Yes I am more then what I think I am. I don't see myself as anything that people tell me I can be. It's funny that people don't see what I believe I can do. Some people can't believe I'm a forensics investigator.

  5. perhaps I am more , but no one else is seeing anything

  6. Most people are. I have had girl friends that told me how handsome I was, but I always figured myself as just an average guy! It's probably best that you keep yourself as modest as you think you are, while it is great to receive compliments, one should not let it go their head!

  7. It does not matter what people think of me. I look at myself in the mirror every morning. I know who I am and where I am going. It is more important for me to have an accurate picture of who I am. People say flattering things all the time. That does not mean that they are all sincere or don't have an ulterior motive. Compliments are nice from strangers. Don't get me wrong. But I would put more weight in the opinions of those who love me and are closest to me.

  8. There. are. PROFUSE. aspects of yourself and things that people distinctly see that you are unaware of, and that's normal. From your question, it seems like your just very buff, but not like a full out bodybuilder, and maybe its just that people aren't used to seeing people like you

  9. I think that everyone is more than they realize.
