If so do you have any suggestions or tips for the audition process? How does the audition process go and how long does it last? Any info on the audition would help!

Lot's of helpful info here. Break a leg! For the characters they're going to want lots of smiles and enthusiasm, as well as being able to act the character without really talking.

one of my friends did this for a while, and believe it or not they dont always choose the best.  i think they just kinda choose whoever they get the best vibe from.
