Are you a Citizen of the United States of America or a Citizen of the United States? I don't know is okay.

  1. The full name is United States of America (USA). Unless you are a citizen of the United States of Mexico (Estados Unidos Mexicanos).


  2. United States of America.  We use United States because, like "Prince", everyone knows what you're referring to.  OK, Prince was a bad, very bad, comparison.

  3. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

    It's the US Congress, the US Army. USS means United States Ship.

  4. I am a citizen of the United States of America.   The other one is acceptable too, but the first is the full title.

  5. I would say the U.S.A. because even Mexico has states, and the proper name is the first one, not the second.
