Are you a christian but feel that God has given you a gift of psychic abilities?

If you are a christian but also experience psychic abilities, how do you handle it? Do you welcome it or bury it in fear that it's of Satan rather than God?

I actually just read about a testimony about a girl who had the same abilities.  She was also a Christian.  Not knowing that it was not God's against using it, she started developing her skills and helping people with it.  But it ruined her life, mainly because it pretty much occupied her time almost totally, and  herself too.  She testified against it and urge people who have similar abilities to pray to God.

I am somewhat Christian, but I don't believe in Satan, but yes, I have Psychic abilities that I'm very proud of.  So no, I don't think you should bury it; it's a gift from God.

The two are contradictory.  Psychic abilities are a misinterpretation of outside demonic influences which causes a person to think they are manipulating the natural or supernatural as a result of their own abilities or mental powers.  

In contrast, Gifts of the Spirit are from God and include discerning of spirits, prophecy, tongues and interpretations of tongues, working of miracles, and others.  These things can be misconstrued as psychic powers if you are Christian but have not fully understood how the Spirit works.

I have the gift of discerning of spirits, which means I can walk into a room and discern teh "atmosphere" present.  I can talk with a person and know if they are being deceptive or truthful, if their intent is malicious or beneficial.  I also speak in tongues, it is a sign of all those who have recieved the Spirit.

Yes I am christian but not heavily. I do believe in the devil, but what I've learned is that god granted us powers because he believed we could handle it.
