  1. No I'm not, just an agnostic minding my own business.  If I was ever to choose a religion, it certainly wouldn't be Islam.

  2. I agree. I do not understand the mindset of moving to another country, then expecting that country to bend the rules for a certain group, whether ethnic, religious or cultural. Like Muslims trying to get Sharia Law implemented into the UK system. Or the want of changing the flag to represent a more diverse population. Obviously there was something about the British way of life that attracted them to the UK in the first place. Does that not mean the flag already represents the diverse cultures? Many differing groups have tried the same here in Canada, but we have gone one step further in abolishing special considerations for them. Such as no longer allowing different family and divorce court laws for those of the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, as marriage is controlled by the government, which is why g*y people have finally won the right to marry, not just get a "civil union." Muslim women are allowed their traditional dress in the workplace and schools, as long as it does not pose a safety concern. IE: trying to participate in gym class or shop using machinery wearing a burka, just as they have made it law for men with turbans to mandatorily wear hard hats when safety is a concern. You wouldn't believe how many law suits were attempted here over someone getting hurt on a construction site, after refusing to wear a hard hat because it would not fit over their turban. Sheiks are not allowed to wear their traditional sword in public as it violates the carrying a weapon regulation. Yes, we have freedom of religion, as long as it does not violate the safety of the public. If someone is unhappy about these laws, then they are free to move where ever they wish. Do I want to kick them out? No. I just want everyone in my country to be as safe as possible. If you cannot do the job, as your religious dress will pose a safety hazard, then you are not the best suited person for the job. It isn't discrimination, its looking out for the entire public best interest.  I can't go to another country, want to live in their society and expect that they will bend the rules to accommodate me. I can be offended all I want, but as I am a newcomer I should not have the right to try and change a country I obviously wanted to come to.

  3. To every story there are two sides.

When your fellow citizens enter our countries, they controvene every Islamic law.

Modest clothing is not practiced. On our beaches women reveal themselves, even though this is forbidden under Islamic law.

Yet if a Muslim girl was to wear a scarf while going out for a swim, its no doubt she would be hurled a few racist remarks.

Bars, strip joints and clubs have all been established to satisfy your ways of life, although these are offending to our beliefs.

But when Muslims intend on having a Mosque, or an Islamic center built it sparks a row, even though Church bells in Muslim countries are heard all over.

To some, we are seen as the enemy, and welcomed with grim faces.

But in Arab countries, you are welcomed with a smile, and treated to friendly hospitality, and lets not forget this is after your people did take part in waging a war against our brothers.

Rid the laws pleasing the Muslims, so long they rid the laws that please all foreign groups.

But to complain, or to protest against Muslims from practicing their faith in Britain, while other minorities are given freedom with no criticism followed would only be acting upon the double standards your society is faced with.

  4. What are you talking about :D? what did we ever say about your country :D your right you do what ever you wat as long as you don't offend us ... Why does every one have this idea of islam that is so bad ??? IN our religion it is a vry bad sin to offend any one ... and we shuld never talk about another religion in a bad way !!! why d YOU talk about US like we are terrorists !!!

  5. I'm not in the UK, but thanks for pointing out to many people (especially Canadians and U.S. citizens) that this isn't a problem limited to the U.S. I don't understand how a symbol of a country can be taken away over the possibility that it might offend someone. Geez, at this rate we are all going to be wearing non-descript clothing driving little clone cars and everything we talk about will have to be a generalization to avoid offending someone. You can't please everyone, and taking away liberties from others for the sole purpose of avoiding offending anyone is ridiculous. And you are right, they wouldn't put up with it in their country.

  6. No I am not.
