I am, and I am because I believe in it. Not because everyone else is.

I don't do it because it is popular, I just am different.

  1. Putting a label to your conformity or lack there of is conforming to society's need to label every aspect of our lives and personalities!

I live the way I chose. I do what I think is right and good but still true to myself. I don't chose to do something because everyone else is doing it I do it because I want to or I believe it to be the right choice to make.

Life it too complex to say if I conform or don't conform.

  2. With your response to Houston saying there are no rules to nonconformity, that's a rule :) Anyway conforming can be good. Without it we wouldn't have a society or a mainstream of technology that we advance on.

  3. So you conform to the rules of nonconformity, eh?

  4. It depends on what you are conforming/ nonconforming to.. if it's a specific idea, then i can answer both ways, but in broad terms, i'm a conformist.. and so are most people..

people are conformists by nature.. we sit in chairs rather than stand in them.. we walk along designated pathways despite the fact that if we stray from the path, we might arrive at our destinations faster.. we drink water from cups rather than bowls.. there are literally hundreds of thousands of things we unconsciously conform to.

    so yeah, i'm a conformist..

  5. everyone conforms to something

  6. I am a nonconformist because I noticed from an early age that the expectations and ambitions of most people didn't fit me.  So I go my own way in my quest for happiness.  The jury is still out on whether or not that was a good course to go.  I think I'd be more successful in jobs and dating if I were more of a conformist.
