Are you a pu$y if you kick during a street fight or school brawl?

Like seriously. Who kicks in a school fight?

Anyways, I'm taking Muay Thai and my kicks are the main facet of my game. I generate a lot of power and could probably put someone away rather easily with one.

However, if a fight breaks outside of school or whichever, or in school for that matter, would it be stupid to throw a kick? Not a baby kick though. I'm talking a shove to put them in range and liver-smasher.

Good idea? Bad idea? Stick with punches?

  1. If you have the opportunity then i say go for it. you will find that kicks are not as effective as you believe in real fights because maybe 70 percent of fights end up on the ground. So many times you are rushed before you even get to kick. But if you do get the chance go for it. It may even lower the other person's confidence and willingness to fight. ( school fight, no groin kicks or knee shots. real street fight, anything goes )

p.s. why do you care what the other kids think. fights are not for popularity.

  2. knock there head off with a kick

  3. How about avoid the fight altogether and not get "kicked" out of school? Your future is at stake genius. That is a good way to s***w it up. Go spar in class, not at school. A martial artist only fights when completely necessary. They don't look for fights.

  4. I agree with everyone else. Avoid the fight altogether. However, IF you do get in said fight, and your reputation is on the line so to speak then the answer is NO it is not bad to kick in a fight. Use all available body weapons if it is a fight you cannot get away from. The very idea of a fight is to take the other person down or make them stop. There are no rules in a street fight and who said kicking makes you look bad anyway? Every martial art involves kicking because simply, legs are the strongest appendages of the body. Notice that when I said "martial art" this does not include boxing or western style wrestling. I myself have seen many fights in school, been in a few and know how the rep happens. If you win, nobody will make fun of you. However, cheap shots to the groin are always considered rep lowering.

  5. Your not a p u s s y if u knock em out Cro Cop style. or if u buckle their leg and ground and pound the **** outta them. or catch them in the liver and than ground and pound the **** outta them

    ur only a p u s s y if u soccer kick em in the balls. thats just g*y

  6. Dear fellow

A martial artist knows the pressure points and certain areas to hit during a fight. But that has to be implied against a pro. If you have trouble in a street or in your school, don't try to utilize those tactics. (I dont want tyou to be expelled from school).

There are many SELF DEFENCE tactics i.e. clinching other's fist, blocking a move with your legs or arms in such a way that the other gets hurt automatically or wrist/arm locks. Apply these tactics not those which you are taught in your Muay Thai class.

If you like my answer, rate it.

  7. Go with the, "Art of fighting without fighting", as Bruce Lee would say.  To make a long story short, if you have no passive alternative and must resort to throwing blows, make it count, period.  You give your opponent a chance to get up, he's only gonna make it harder for you to return the favor.  Grandmaster Helio Gracie, the man himself, once said, "Fighting is the best thing a man can have in his soul."  The question is, what kind of soul do you have?  And why do you fight?  In fighting the urge to fight, do you fight to fight, or do you fight to not fight?

  8. Thats stuff is so stupid. people in my school said  you were a p***y if you used rear naked chokes. Not to smart to say cause you just choke them out again and again to they shut up all ready. Like that kid in the movie Angus gettin his nose broke 10 times. A kick boxer I think may want to try a kick or two. Or you should quit and start boxing

  9. the winner never looks bad.:)

  10. yeah beat up a bunch of untrained little kids.......better yet beat up "kindergardeners"  Always thinking about a fight at school aren't they?  this is what I'm taliking about.......Dana White should be freaking shot man!!!

F*** the UFC!!!! and f*** the parents that let these little bully wanna-be's watch that junk.........This is my main turn off about "commericalized MMA" folks right freaking here.  eeww....eeww....school brawl....eeww....eeww....who gives a f***.

These types of questions even being answered on "Answers" is total BS.  Should I do this? should I do that? and especailly against some one at my school who isn't even trained?  F*** Muay Thai if this is how they have their students thinking ....always in the backs of their minds too....eeww.....eeww.....eeww....school brawl I just can't wait until I get to beat one of the kids up at my school since I've been at Muay Thai so long now....eeww.....eeww....I can't wait.

I'd like to jerk a knot in this little dude's a** and his mom's and dad's too...........

  11. street fight/school brawl - there are no rules. you do what you have to do to survive. The only questionable move is the nut cracker, but other than that it's not a tournament.
