  1. I Never watch the Olympics,

It saddens me that so much money could be spent on life.

  2. I would only hope that it will bring great things to the country and for us to show the world how good we can be...............the question remains can we get it finished on time or will we have another wembley on our hands?

  3. They will drain our money and disrupt our lives just so politicians and their friends can go round in a grand party eating and drinking and saying all is well and prosperous over here. TOSH

  4. I appreciate it gives people jobs but it does bother me how much the original costs just keep on escalating and surely someone somewhere is laughing all the way to the bank.

love the pic of your dog as an avatar..

  5. It will make London a tourist destination

  6. i am a supporter. it wont bring wealth to anyone and it will cost us  all money. i dont see why there should be widespread disruption. what i hope to see is pride in our country returning. i would like to see young people training at the track or gym. i would like to see lots of gold medals for britain. i would like to see the competitive spirit returned to our schools.

and its not just for london. the sailing will be held in dorset. and other events will also be held away from the city.

  7. one should not see it from commercial angle .it should be seen from other angle. It will bring smiles who win and and a message for those who loose, to work more hard next time.the youngsters of uk who will the oudience will learn a lot from this event.

  8. I love the idea of the Olympics in London in 2012 but as you say, the expense of it all is made to rest on the shoulders of those who cannot contest or question anything.... us !!

That it brings business to the capital I have no doubt but not exactely to us but to the large hotels and the like.... not to the ordinary person in the street.  We are asked to pay for it DIRECTLY and IMMEDIATELY but 'benefits' are always LONG-TERM.
