- I'm deciding whether to become a teacher and would like to know what the pay is like nowadays in this area as there are mixed views.

Surely you are not doing it for the money. I think that's why i got a neglected education. Too many teachers just shoving us off to learning support if we cant be taught to quick enough to their lax standards. Why should we though, keep the thick as **** students out of the way of the middle management. Try do something you think is better than the money.
