  1. It's true.... IN DIFFERENT WAYS.

  2. I am a millitant agnostic: "I don't know and dammit neither do you!"

I personally believe that the big bang is a reasonable possibility, and evolution has enough scientific backing that it is the most credible answer.

  3. The big bang is shaping up to be a fact based on the evidence.  Evolution has been proven to be a fact for over 80 years - also based on evidence.

    Atheist.

  4. atheist- well evolution is true...are you not walking on two feet and not on all fours with ur @$$ in the arm(well idk about u) but big bang is a maybe

  5. Atheist.

Evolution and the big bang are both overwhelmingly supported by evidence, and therefore most likely true.

  6. go to www.icr.org

  7. agnostic

Evolution is fact, theory, and in just about every sense of the word, true.

Big Bang is a very well investigated theory, and is the closest to fact and truth as we have at this point.

  8. it is fact that they happened... theory is how

  9. Atheist/anti-theists and my money is on M theory .

    Evolution - fact .

Big bang as described by M theory - highly probable to the point that anything else pales to insignificance .

  10. Evolution is a fact. There's also a theory that explains it.

As far as I know, the Big Bang is the best model we have for the origin of our universe and there are no alternative theories (scientific theories) that have the same support.

talk origins is a nice place to start but take a class or go to a library and you'll be better off.

  11. Agnostic:

Evolution is fact. It happened. The Theory of Evolution is the hows. So yeah, evolution did happen no matter how much people hate how it contradicts with their storybook. Sorry guys.

Big Bang. This is not observable. There is evidence, there are laws, so it is probably that there was a Big Bang. Personally, I accept the Big Bang but would like to hear more. I could never say it is fact, though.

  12. Atheist. Despite what creationist loons may tell you, the fossil record overwhelmingly supports evolution: the only real debate being over how it happened rather than whether it did or not. The 'Big Bang' is a silly name, however the universe is undoubtedly expanding from a central point, so to some extent that must have also taken place.

  13. Evolution is supported by a lot of evidence.  Hence, it is more likely to be true.

The big bang theory has some evidence to support it.  However, not as much as evolution.

  14. Atheist. Evolution, true. Big Bang, probable.

  15. Evolution is obviously true and should be a scientific law, the big bang theory is a little complex and I would like to hear more about it before making an opinion.

  16. I worship God and evolution is fiction

  17. Agnostic theist eclectic Pagan Wiccan; evolution is FACT; created universe is likely (as in, I believe in it, but do now KNOW it to be so).

  18. Take some courses.

  19. I am a theist. Evolution and the big bang are the best available theories.

Anybody who thinks evolution is more than that should bear in mind the physicist who, towards the end of the nineteenth century, opined that physicists had just about got the universe sussed, and all that was left to do now was tidy up a few loose ends. After all, no theory could have better claim than the Newtonian world view to have been tested to destruction. Nevertheless, within a very few decades he would have cause to eat his words.

Evolution is highly probable, but when "evolution is true" gets to be repeated like a mantra it starts to sound like the dogmatism which atheists affect to despise.

  20. agnostic pandeist

    evolution, fact

    big bang, probable

although i have to admit, apart from what i was taught, i do not know too much about either, mainly because it does not really interest me.  but i know enough to have an opinion on them.

  21. I am agnostic; evolution is obvious, and the Big Bang Theory makes sense to me!  It is the result of those with intelligence and education applying their knowledge and their logic to the task of determining the origin of the Universe.  The Biblical version of the Creation is the result of those without education or knowledge developing a mythology to resolve their need to understand the incomprehensible world around them.  I think, too, that, if a creative entity does indeed exist, there is no reason (beyond the theists' requisite to interpret the Bible literally) why that deity could not have incited the evolutionary Cosmos via the "Big Bang" -- the causative impetus releasing the potential Universe from a naked singularity...

  22. Atheist.

Evolution is a fact regardless of the fact that godsters do not understand that scientific theory does not mean scientific guess or hypothesis.

Big Bang may have come after the Big Crunch as part of the continuous cycle of expansions and contractions of the universe.

There are NO invisible sky swooping creatures doing haphazard mayhem on all and sundry for no apparent, or any other type of, reason.

What else do you want to know?

    ~

  23. 1. Theist.

    2. The best explanation that we have yet, though I believe that evolution needs a renewed framework, as Physics and Biology do not always agree.
