What I mean is: Can you block a knitted object made from a yarn blend such as wool and acrylic or alpaca and acrylic?

  1. Such lovely blends!!! Yes, you block them the same way as you would pure wool or alpaca yarns. Just take care not to allow the wool or alpaca part of it to felt or shrink.

Even the new fibers: corn, soy, bamboo, etc, are blockable. Have you tried any of these or the blends with them in it?? They are so delightful to work with. The pure things work like silk does, feel the same.

  2. I agree with the last answer, but I would like to add that if you are blocking with heat, be careful to not get the item too hot if the yarn has acrylic in it because it will melt. Hope this helps!
