and if anyone knows what the scheduled time the driver is supposed to stop for a break. we had an hour and a half journey and the driver would not stop. Then on the way back he told us it was illegal to drink alcohol in the limo after 12? even though we still had 3 bottles of complimentary champagne left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. It appears the driver, who is the one who knows, has already answered the question.

    No, you can't.

  6. Well I think the Limo driver would know the rules on that one, as he would jeopardise his buisness if he broke th rules or laws.

  7. As the vehicle is NOT a private vehicle (like your mate's car) it IS a 'PLACE OF WORK' or more properly 'BUSINESS PREMISES'.

Part of the limo licence agreement will have been no alcohol consumption after midnight - much like you cannot smoke in the limo.

Law will vary from council to council - but driver will be correct.

  8. You can drink after midnight. If the driver says it's illegal, that is not correct. He and his boss may not allow you to drink in that limo and kick you out if you do, but that does not make it illegal
