Sure, as long as you don't try to copy something bigger than 2 GB (total).

Leave your 4 GB card in the camera. Get a USB Card Reader (Radio Shack, Circuit City, Fry's, Best Buy, WalMart, Etc).

With both connected, both should appear as external devices on your PC. You can transfer files from one to the other.

And, of course, you can only copy 2 GB worth of the data to a 2 GB card.

Why not just copy all 4 GB to a Data DVD? You'll have a permanent, non-alterable (non-deleteable) copy of your original files.
