There has always been something sinister about clowns to me.   They have these exaggerated painted on faces of smiles, but behind the make-up, who knows who and what they are.

John Wayne Gacey (serial killer) volunteered in his community going into the hospitals' children's ward dressed as a clown and entertained all of the children, when in reality he was a serial killer.

I've never liked clowns and if you have seen Stephen King's "It", you'll understand more because his main character was an evil clown named "Pennywise".

Yes, My evil stepfather that abused me had been a clown with Ringling Brothers Circus before my mom married him. He used to come to my school dressed up in his old costume so all the teachers and students just thought he was the greatest. Then he'd take me home and yell at me and smack me around. BAD CLOWN!

I have never been creeped out by clowns and I (no offense) have always been amused by those who are afraid of them.  I suppose maybe people should not introduce clowns to very young children because they would have every reason to become fearful of them.  Maybe that is why some people are scared of clowns.  They could have been too little to understand the majority of them are harmless.

I was once made to appear very stupid by a clown. It took me a long time to get back to normal, but it gave everyone else a good laugh, so I suppose it was OK.

It is said that in heaven a special place is reserved for clowns, because of the happiness they bring to those whose worries are a burden. But why should one fear them, what can they possibly do to you?

well they are kind of creepy looking but if i were next to one i wouldn't scream and run, but i remember when i was little at my dad's house there was this painting of a creepy clown on the wall and that was freaky, i would never go near it. and that IT movie wasn't really scary it was just disturbing and wierd
