  1. yes I am .....because of past experiences when I was younger. i have been in a ditch and i have hit a tree....because when I was young I would give the car too much gas and stir away from the skid. Now I know better and I am older and wiser. I take it slow now. But, I am still somewhat scared.

  2. No, not at all.  I live in Michigan and where I am was just hit by a foot of snow. It doesn't scare me unless it's very icy out. If you keep patience and are a careful driver who can tolerate taking your time slowly driving, you'll be alright.

I do worry about some of the other drivers who think they can drive fast on slippery roads  but usually, when another driver sees someone else moving slow, they follow lead.

  3. No,Just follow the rules & drive safely.Respect other driverss as well.

  4. not afraid of driving in the snow, just afraid of the idiots who don't drive with caution that could end up killing me

  5. Nope. I'm afraid of people who are idiots and people who think 4wd makes them superhuman.

  6. yes it would be dangerous and hey you are basically going out to meet your death so why not be cautious

  7. A little yes

I still stick by my idea that you should be able to turn ABS off in snow as is completely useless.

  8. jessi said it perfectly.

  9. The proper set of snow tires will take a lot of the worry out of winter driving.  I commute 60 miles one way through the back roads of Maine 6 days a week, knowing that I have the best traction available makes it a breeze.

  10. Nope, just remember to drive slower and don't slam on your brakes.

  11. No, I drive a rear wheel drive car in the snow and don't have problems.  Drive slow and leave extra distance between you and the driver in front of you.  I am a Lt. in a NY fire dept.  The accidents i see in the winter months are usually 4wd or awd vehicles that think because the have awd they can do anything.  Avoid people speeding in these conditions.
