I'm white but I am afraid to open into a discussion about race with other white people for fear of exposing them to having racist attitudes. I've seen it happen before and I really don't want to know if some people I know might be a racist deep down. I wonder if anyone else has had this fear before.

  1. I am not afraid and I always bring up that topic. I prefer to know if someone is racist from the beginning, instead of finding it out when it is too late :S. I am not white, I am brunette with tanned skin and I hate racists... that is so stupid :S.

  2. Wouldn't it be a good idea to know if they are racist ?

  3. I don't even have to do that. Must of the time they let it all out on their own. If you let white people get comfortable with you they usually start showing their true colors. They start with little things like "i think black people are...." and then take it a step further with "those people p**s me off" ( the whole time they seem to forget that i am one of "those people") and then before you know it they start with the mild racist jokes " hey whats up blackie......you know i am just kidding right? we are friends!" (you never hear them call each other "whitie")

At the end of the day it is really not that hard to tell.
