  1. You will need a large piece of fairly thick paper approx. 6" X 6" & a small glass. Have the creepy-crawly crawl onto the paper, then put the glass over it. Slide you hand under the paper to keep it against the rim of the cup, go out side & drop the whole thing on the grass.

  2. someone else just asked that same question.

  3. There are probably thousands of species of spiders in the U.S. Only about 3 or 4 are dangerous. The Black Widow, The Brown Recluse, and a few others. The Giant Tarantula actually makes a great pet. Kids pick them up in the wheat fields and often bring them to schools for Show and Tell. Likewise, most others can't hurt you much even if they did  bite you. Actually, they kill a lot of bugs in the home you don't like and most are very benificial and try to stay away from people. Most are actually mankinds friend. They kill Flies for one. And in the Garden sometimes you will see beautiful webs  and watch them work with a flashlight. They are busy catching harmful garden insects. One, a big, wolly spider I often see here in Kansas  is called a Wolf Spider. Another, the Granddaddy Longlegs spider has a small gray body and extremely long legs and is completely harmless. This is the one who most often makes His home in Your home. If you see one crawling down the wall, he is probably looking for a bug for lunch that you don't like. He's not looking for you.  Try to get over some of your fear of spiders by studying them and watching them. Check out pictures on the web.( At Least, Learn to identify the few dangerous ones for your own safety).  I don't know of Any that purposely Jump at you. Only in the movies maybe. You will meet up with spiders all your life. For your sake - if not the spiders - gradually try to get rid of your fear of them by first studying them from a distance - first books perhaps -  than at arms length when you can better control your fear. Fear of spiders is a phobia, it's neurotic behavior that we learn from other people. Usually our parents. I actually know of a person who hurt himself badly by jumping away from a harmless spider and falling down a stairs. Don't teach this phobia  to your kids. Life will be easier for all of you.
