  1. I am not a member and I am not against PETA. They do some good work, especially bringing to light animals who are abused

for research and for example the abuse of chickens etc. After reading about the way chickens are treated and raised for food

in horrible conditions, I have stopped eating chicken.

  2. I am against them.

However, I am for animal rights.

PETA are extremists who only alienate people. They believe that no animals should be kept as pets and that dogs and cats would prefer to be dead. They've taken pets from people, claiming they'd find them a home, then euthanized them on the spot. They target children in their hateful ads, "Mommy and Daddy are Murderers" for example. Speaking of ads, they waste away millions on garish ad campaigns when that money could go to good use actually HELPING animals.

There are better animal rights groups to support. WWF, Greenpeace & the ASPCA are examples.

  3. 100% for peta, is someone doesnt stick up for animals who will.they do alot of great work in stopping the inhumane killing and torturing of animals, also a  lot of work in the fur trade. so i hope they keep on doing there good work.the meat and fur industry is never gonna end, peta knows this but there is more humane ways of killing  animals in this practice, so that they dont suffer.

  4. PETA are a whole bunch of dimmwits! they cute off my dogs harness because they wanted it to be free but they couldnt lift her over the fence! HAHA!! they are some srious nutcases. they say they are helping animals but all they are doing is killing them.

    People Eating Tasty Animals!!! HAHAHA!!!

whoever came up with that rocks!

  5. I cannot, and will not, support any domestic terrorist organization, nor any organization that funds terrorists. Peta is both.

I believe that people who DO support Peta do not understand what they are REALLY about.

Do your research on Peta, learn for yourself.

  6. I like what PETA stands for but I don't agree with their methods...nor their nagging.

  7. Against it.  I'm against any animal rights extremist.  Someone I know had a pack of hunting dogs and they were all stolen one night (about 25 of them) and the dogs were all killed and left in the woods - thats not helping the animal!  Dogs love to hunt, all dogs do.  Peta don't seem to have a clue what they are doing!

Mimi77 is the perfect example of the type of person Peta target.  She has stopped eating chicken because some are kept in battery cages.  You know what they do to pigs?  Cows and sheep can be kept in terrible conditions too, and do you know how they transport animals across countries?  The idea is not to just stop eating the animal, that helps nobody, you just aren't getting meat.  The idea is to find a decent farm that looks after its animals.  One near me lets people take a look around, and its perfect, people can see where their food is coming from.  Peta just targets the ignorant and teaches them snippets of information.

  8. I'm against it. PETA uses propaganda like material to lure unsuspecting people into a group that use lies to get the results they want. Although they stand for a very noble cause, they end up ruining the lives of human beings. I'll use my sister's multiple eating disorders from reading the crud PETA puts up as an example...

  9. That's People Eating Tasty Animals right?  I'm all for it.  Yummy.  :)

  10. recently we have found out so much stuff about puppy mills and how the dogs are treated in those places, about puppy brokers and pet stores, etc, that we are so disgusted with their practices and this has made us want to join an organization like PETA to see, if we can contribute to making a difference in this world!

Btw, it is not only about dogs, of course, it is about all animals, if it wasn't, then we wouldn't bother being vegetarians for years...

we have also just signed some online petitions against puppy mills, every drop might make a difference...

  11. I support PETA, but I'm not in it.  Hope this helps, whatever it is you're doing.

  12. I have been vegan for a year and a half and then switched to vegetarian a year ago.

I USED to support Peta, but I no longer do. I emailed Peta once asking a sensible question about why they didn't give any information on how daily vitamin intake for vegans and vegetarians alike was so important. I told them that I thought they should make effort to make a section about vitamin needs and they just blew my off, telling me basically that it wasn't their responsiblity to educate about vitamins, EVEN THOUGH a diet such as veganism is not healthy in any way unless daily vitamin supplements are taken. It was like they were afraid that if they talked about vitamins, they would lose followers. I mean, if they're incouraging these types of diets, then I believe they need to educate on all aspects of it.

Since then I have not supported Peta, and I never will unless they decide to educate people properly.

  13. I could not be more against PETA. They think animals are better than people. What really makes me laugh though is that these extremists are hypocrites. 85% of the dogs and cats given to PETA-run shelters are euthanized, regardless of their health or future adoptability. So no, I would never join PETA. I would, however, join the other PETA- People Eating Tasty Animals.
