  1. People who hunt whales for food have evolved little beyond the cave man stage. I admire those who campaign against whaling but I am unable to campaign myself because I would not be able to bring myself to even speak to these "people".

However I do support the WDCS

  2. Whaling is totally wrong. They are living creatures too and deserve to have life. How would you like it if I shot a harpoon through your head and ate you?

  3. I think hunting whales in this day-and-age is inexcusable.  Japan's stance that is being down for "scientific" and "cultural" reasons is a joke.

Your graphic is well done and very powerful image-wise.

I think what we can all do is drop the economic hammer on Japan and boycott them across the board!

There is even a neat website (see link below) called "Boycott Japan" that has some detailed and interesting information on how to boycott products from Japan and get the anti-whaling message to these people.

I'm not an advocate of anyone going to extreme measures to enforce (no matter how right, just and humane) an act on another society.

In this case though I'm sick of the arrogance and disregard Japan displays to the world (be it historical revisionism in the atrocities they committed in WWII or whaling) that I think heavy handed measures should be taken.

I'd be thrilled to see the world's navies intercept these whaling ships, order the crews off, haul them into ports and scrap them.

  4. I can't figure out WHY these people keep whaling when everyone knows they can not reproduce fast enough.

When the whales run out, what do you reckon they will move onto next?

If humans don't learn from past mistakes (other extinct animals) then we definitely are doomed.

I do really like your graphic. I wish i had an eye for art like that, its great.

  5. Yes, I'm definitely against it, and I love your graphic.

In the summer of 2005 I took part in a Greenpeace campaign against whaling:

Sorry about the bad quality; my son took the pic with a cell phone and there wasn't enough light (late afternoon), so it's blurry. But we were rushing to meet the deadline for sending in the pictures -- and it's the thought that counts!

P.S. And I've just signed the www.whalesrevenge.com petition, too.

  6. nice pic and i'm not for whaling but that pic should be voted the best pic ever.

  7. eat them every day

  8. Seems to get the point across rather well.

  9. I'm against killing whales.  Yes I like your graphic.

  10. Not really, there just another food source. No better or worse than tuna.

  11. I've got a lot of respect for you for doing that. That picture really gets the point across well.

  12. it's simple, clean, and to the point. i like it.  wish we could do that kind of work here.

and i think there is something actually evil about hunting whale... evil in the deeper sense of the term, kind of like the cain and able thing in the old part of the book...

  13. I love your graphic....  and the red circle with the dead bloody whale is nice too.
