Are you alllowed to bring a ball pump/ needle on a carry-on?

im going to a soccer tournament and im only bringing a carry-on, no check in and i need to bring a ball pump. do you think it is allowed?

the needle is just one of those tiny pump needles right?  It should be okay.  I really don't see a problem with that.  The ball pump will be fine without question.  I would call the airline and explain to them what you are bringing (refering to the needle).  I think they'll allow it but it's always great to double check.
