Are you allowed red neon lights on a scooter in the U.K? Legal?

  1. Firstly it is illegal to have a red light or reflector on a UK motor vehicle unless it is visible ONLY from behind the vehicle.

    Secondly, there are limits on the brightness that a lamp could (not, does) emit from the vehicle.

    If you illegal and you are stopped, you will either be charged under the Construction and Use Regulations or be given four days to have the light removed. If your are given the latter choice, but do not comply, you will be charged as before.

    If you repeat the offence, then your scooter can be confiscated and crushed. You will be sent the bill for the crushing.


  2. Yes...only if your g*y though.  If your not g*y I wouldn't suggest using neons on a scooter...Just a thought.
