If a place is €150 a week can you add €20 out of your pocket to the 130 given by social welfare

  1. If you can get the landlord to lie on the rent allowance form you can. And on the lease too because they will want to see a copy of the lease.

    The landlord has to fill in the form saying how much the rent is.

    You arent allowed to rent for more than €130 so if he puts €150 on the form they will refuse you rent allowance.

    If he puts €130 they will give you RA.

    Theyu wont give you the full €130.

    They take €13.50 off and the rest is what they pay.

    So if the landlord says the rent is €130 they will pay €116.50 and you will pay €13.50

    And also you will have to pay the extra €20 the landlord didnt tell them about.

    So you pay €33.50, they pay €116.50.
