I'm traveling in 3 days and need to know if you can bring a macbook onto a Korean Air airplane.

  1. Go for it! I would just disable the Airport WiFi transmitting device before hand. What's the worse they can do? Tell you to put it away...

  3. Yes you are allowed to bring a Macbook onto a Korean Airlines flight. Yes it can be a carry-on item (it counts as your 2nd small personal item, so you can have a bag/purse and your Macbook)

    You are allowed to use it as long as you are

    A. Not connected to any sort of network

    B. aren't sending or receiving anything

    C. You aren't disturbing other passengers with it ( loud Music, loud programs, ect..bring head/earphones!)

    I don't think Korean Airlines banned the use of Apple computers...that sounds a bit unethical. If you are still unsure, I recommend you call Korean Airlines and double check.

  4. why wouldn't you be allowed?  As long as you don't try to connect to any networks (even if by some small chance you can get one), and it can't be on during landing and take off.
