Are you allowed to bring things such as paper and pen to casino tables?

I am only talking about poker...you can 100% bring paper and pen to the tables...a lot people do it to keep track of people's playing style/history...never seen it in blackjack (but I don't play it that often)...wouldn't make sense at BJ because you're not playing against the players but the dealer...at a poker table you definitely can bring it!!!

Baccarat is the only game that allows you to have a pen and paper at the table. They usually have house pens and stationarys at the Baccarat table and the house allows you to write down who won the last few hands [bank, player, or tie]. But with modern technology nowadays, most Baccarat tables will have those LED lights that show you who won. You'll see these standing next to the dealer with a coloful PTB [player, tie, bank] lights. Thus eliminating paper and pens.

Keno is the only other casino game that allows writing material. But then again, those are a must.

But for your mainstream games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, etc  I believe it's illegal to have writing materials at the table. But most Blackjack tables allow you to have basic strategy cards that you can buy at the casino gift shop.

YES! I am not sure where the people above gamble, but in my 10 years of visiting casinos, almost all will allow pen and paper at the casino tables.

In fact at games such as baccarat, they GIVE you a card and pencil to track the prior results of each game. It is also common to see pen and pencil at roulette and definitely at poker too.

Yes you are. It's very common at baccarat, and some people do it at poker tables and even roulette. Go ahead and try it at a blackjack table if that's what you're getting at. They'll either throw you off the table in two minutes, or let it go since only the biggest idiot on the planet would actually try to count cards with pen and paper at a blackjack table.
