Are you allowed to carry chocolate from switzerland into the states?

I'm moving back to the states after living in Germany for awhile, and I have some swiss chocolate. I don't want to mail it incase it might melt, but will customs allow me to carry it in?

  2. Yes.  I haven't done it, but a friend of mine's mom lives in Switzerland, and when she came to visit my friend in the U.S., she brought Swiss chocolate with her.  See the link below for the complete list of items prohibited from entering the States.  I didn't see chocolate anywhere.

    You will, of course, have to declare the value and amount on your customs form, but beyond that, it shouldn't be a problem.

  3. You can carry it on. My family travels to Europe all the time and always brings back lots of candy because its the best! Of course you can carry it on. Its liquids they have a problem with
