HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA . I MEAN HA HA HA HA HA. IM TEMPTED TO STOP RIGHT THERE . GREAT QUESTION ! ITS QUESTIONS LIKE THIS THAT REMIND ME OF WHY I MOVED THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE FUNNY THING IS, AND I SAY THIS VERY SERIOUSLY, IS THAT NOBODY, INCLUDING THE LAWYERS OR THE LAW MAKERS THEMSELVES SEEM TO KNOW OR AGREE UPON WHAT THE LAWS ACTUALLY ARE IN THIS COUNTRY. BUT YOU CAN TAKE THIS TO THE GRAVE WITH YOU , LAWS THAT APPLY TO DOMINICANS WHEN THEY DO APPLY DO NOT ALWAYS APPLY THE SAME WAY WITH TOURISTS OR EVEN FORIEGN RESIDENTS. VERY SCARY . LET ME THROW IT OUT LIKE THIS , A FAT WALLET CAN ALWAYS SUBJECT ANY LAW TO PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. BUT FOR THE NORM, THE AVERAGE VISITOR THAT HAS A HAIR OF COMMON SENSE AND KEEPS THIER NOSE CLEAN WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW LAID BACK THE SCENE IS AND HOW FREE THEY FEEL TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO . THE D.R SURVIVES ON TOURISM AND THE CHARM OF THESE ISLANDERS IS THIER ABILITY TO MAKE ALMOST EVERY PERSON THAT LEAVES FEEL AS IF THE ISLAND WONT SURVIVE WITHOUT THEM . WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DO ! IN MOST TOURIST TRAPS, YOU WILL FIND THE LAWS MUCH STRICTER AGAINST DOMINCANS THAT HAVE NO APPLICATION WHATSOEVER TO VISITORS. FOR EXAMPLE, DOMINICAN WOMAN CAN NOT GO TOPLESS (A CRIME IN ITSELF) ON THE BEACH WHILE FORIEGN WOMEN CAN ? YET, YOU WILL SEE ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE BEACH, HUNDREDS OF13 TO 15 YEAR OLD DOMINICANS PUBLICILY DRINKING PUKING AND PASSING OUT WITH LITTLE OR NO SUPERVISION OR OPPOSITION. AS LONG AS THIER NOT STABBING EACH OTHER, AND IVE SEEN THIS WAY CLOSE UP , THE POLICE LET THEM ENJOY THEMSELVES. HOWEVER , THIS '" SEEMS " TO BE CULTURALLY ACCEPTABLE. ( NOT THE STABBING, THE DRINKING. ) AS FOR MY OWN PERSONAL 2 YEAR HISTORY, IM STILL DRINKING MY COOOLD PRESIDENTES WHILE BAKIN ON BEACHES, RIDIN ON BUSES, AND SITTING ON THE CORNERS OF THE STREETS I WALK WITH IT AS I WILL. NOOOOOOOO PROBLEM BROTHER. I LOVE DRINKING AT THE TIENDAS NEAR THE AIRPORT. I LOVE DRINKING IN THE AIRPORT AS WELL . I LOVE DRINKING IN THE D.R! MAYBE YOUR QUESTION SHOULD BE '' ARE YOU ALLOWED TO DRINK IN PRIVATE ?

u can drink in church if u want to.

whn I was fifteen I would drink out in th streetsm late at night, and in front of policemen, and they didnt do nothing. The thing is that nobody seems to care. hahaha

Ive been to the Dominican Republic many times my dad lives there and in expirience from my dad nobody really cares. If they say something to you they will just make you trow it out the police in the dominican republic arent that tight in the first place so yeah you can drink it. But in the airport i think they wont let you but if youre hidding it they dont really care.
