  1. i dont know cause i live in the US but im going to say it is illegal, only cause it sounds like it should be.

  2. If your 21 ya.

  3. Why do Americans continue to answer questions about which they have no knowledge? Are they so keen for the points? Yes, of course you can drink alcohol on UK trains, provided you are 18, behave yourself and it is not a football special. And as others have said, many trains actually sell alcohol. There is even the case of the group which had dinner on a London Underground train, complete with champagne (I think there is footage of this available on youtube, but haven't checked for the page)

Later. David is right about licensing restrictions, although, of course, this is now much less important as sale of alcohol is allowed 24/7 everywhere these days. However, it wasn't always so and I well remember a Guinness advert telling drinking of that fluid how to obtain it 24 hours a day. They had worked out a journey to accomplish this, part of which was spent in the buffet car of a train. - they didn't say what state the drinkers would be in at the end of the time, though!

  4. Not only can you drink it but most long distance trains sell it.

And you only need to be 18 in the U Kto drink alcohol, not 21, regardless of your nationality.

I'm use trains regularly all over the UK and you can bring your own on board if you prefer. Please try not to be too noisy though!!

  5. you can actually purchase alcohol on uk trains, so... id say thats a yes. as long as you are over 18 which is the legal drinking age  in the u.k

  6. You are yes and of course on trains with a buffet or restaurant

it is sold on the train. A moving train is exempt from licensing hours restrictions, so you often see people on trains buying a can of beer to have with their breakfast bacon roll. The Police have legal powers to ban the sale and consumption of alcohol

on specific trains and they do exercise this power on trains carrying large volumes of fans going to Football matches and sometimes Rugby Internationals too; this is usually on Saturdays.

  7. Depends on the train. Subway? Euro-star? They serve alchohol on eurostar from what I recall...I used to walk around with a bottle when I went to london; I can't give you a definate answer...The drinking age is like 15-16 though...not 21. Depending on how old you look, you'll get served...Have fun. Cheers

  8. i think it's illegal but i am not sure

  9. haha  you're not supposed to, but everyone does anyways.
