Normally, my dad, brother and I always went to Ontario Lake, and there's like park there with barbecues and paths to ride on. We were by the water and feeding the birds bread. That's what we usually do.

But a woman stopped us and told us that the rules stated we weren't allowed to feed the geese, ducks, swans and seagulls. Actually she just said birds. So my dad and i found this post with like, 10 rules and one rule was

"Do not disturb or molest birds, fowl, and animals."

Is disturbing part of feeding them?

  1. No, you can't feed them...no.

  2. You should never feed the ducks and geese bread it`s bad for them.If everyone feeds them bread they get full on the bread and do not eat there proper food. The bread does not contain the proper nutrients they need and they get sick.

  3. You are not supposed to feed them but people do it any way. Its fun for kids to feed the ducks and swans or birds.

If you feed them they go away from their natural instinct to hunt for food and start depending on visitors. Also some times the food pieces you offer them are larger for them to swallow which is not good.
