Question:

Are you allowed to park on the road in Guelph?

i know this sounds like a stupid question but for some reason someone told me you cannot park on the road in that city. is this true? to me this cant be the case. does anyone who lives there know the law about parking cars on the road?

  1. All roads are signed where parking is restricted, as with any town or city.  Of course you can park on the street.  Downtown will have lots of restrictions though, as will areas around the university and college.  There are also time restrictions and length of parking restrictions, as with any other town or city.  

    The major thoroughfares, such as Woodlawn Rd, Eramosa Rd, Speedvale Ave, Silvercreek Pkwy, Victoria Rd, Edinburgh Rd, Gordon St and Stone Rd do NOT have parking on them.

    There is a lack of an abundance of parking only because the fact that Guelph is a fast growing community, and some of the infrastructure hasn't kept pace with that growth.
