Are you allowed to take your dog out of its carrier in airports as long as it is leashed?

Nope. At least not in the airport. The airline gives you a little tag to put on the carrier and its says somewhere on it that your dog has to stay in the kennel at all times. I hear in Atlanta the police give out tickets if your caught with your animal out of the kennel.
