Flying from the UK to Cyprus on Monday, refused to pay extra for the dog meals and have a 2yr old travelling. Are we able to take food in hand luggage such as sandwiches to be consumed on the flight?

What restrictions are there

  1. There should be no problem with that, but check with the airline first. After all its a crazy safety world out there

  2. all the air lines are really against are  bringing like  sirisaw cans and liqueds on a plain o and plants  but u could get away wil  most other food

  3. 2 parts to the question

Airport security - no liquids above 100ml unless baby milk or prescribed medication

Airline - up to them what they allow on aircraft.

  4. You can take your own food on the flight. I've seen a Harrods mini hamper on a flight before.

Your own will be far cheaper and wholesome than the filth served on the flight.

  5. There are certain foods, such as meat and poultry  that you can't take through UK Customs. Perhaps you could find out what you can take out through your Travel Agent.

  6. i think you could bring food on the plane, but not drinks
