Are you allowed to use space bags on flights?

I ask since airport security has to go through everything. If you can use them, how would security be able to check the items in the bags? Thanks!

  1. Yes.  You can.  I have.  No problems.  If a space bag fits in a zipped-up suitcase, even if the air is released, technically it will all fit again.  The inspector would probably crank the xrays up before deciding to actually open a sealed space bag.

(Space bags reduce volume of clothes by allowing air to be sucked out and the clothing compresses down to take up much less space).

  2. yes, my sister did that on her flight Internationally and there was no problems.

  3. What are space bags? You should check with your airlines.

  4. airport security only goes through suspicious luggage.  use whatever you want.  can you imagine how long it would take to get your luggage to its destination if EVERY bag was searched......?
