Question:

Are you allowed to wear goggles in water polo?

So I recently joined the water polo team and on the first day I discovered no one on my team uses goggles during the games. That's kind of a problem because I wear perscription goggles, so I was wondering if it is optional to wear them or if there is a certain kind they allow. Oh and I can't use contacts because (believe me, I've tried) I seem to have issues with sticking things into my eyes. Thanks for your help! (:

  1. I'm sorry, but you aren't allowed to use goggles during games. I used to have issues with sticking things in my eyes, also. You need to try to put them in your eyes to be able to play water polo.

  2. no u cant. they are not allowed. srry but ur only choice is really leaving the team if u dont want contacts.

  3. no!!!!!! sorry

  4. Contacts are something that you'll probably get used to if you just use them long enough. I struggled for a long time to get used to poking myself on a daily basis, but I eventually got over it. Goggles in water polo are banned for several reasons, but safety is the obvious #1. If a ball was to hit you in the face the goggles would suction on your face and could cause damage being removed. They also can cause cuts to other players. Along with these, it obviously creates an unfair advantage for the player wearing the goggles.

  5. No, they're not allowed :T.

    Try contacts?

    Or to be extreme, LASIK?

  6. NO, No goggles in WP.

    get some Visine AC

  7. No you cannot.

i guess water polo is not your thing. ;)
