Are you aloud to bring a used hookah from Germany to the united states when traveling?

im traveling from munich to chicago, is it aloud? it will be in my suite case.

It should be fine on US Customs end. Just clean it out real well and don't forget to claim it. 50% of the time they won't even stop you, the other half the pull it out and sniff it for "residue of an illegal nature" put it back and send you on your way.

In many of the states in the US (which all have their own laws), a hookah is considered drug paraphernalia and thus illegal to possess even if it's new.  Chicago is in the State of Illinois, and in Illinois a hookah IS drug paraphernalia and illegal to possess.
