  1. Well, Agnostic, but celebrating Christmas.  Why the heck not?

  2. You do realise that the holiday around 25th December was based on a pagan tradition that predates christianity?  Or maybe you don't.

As an atheist I take advantage of the time off work during the Xmas  and new year period, just as I do for the queen's birthday and labour day holidays.

  3. Its a secular holiday.  That's what santa and xmas trees are for.

  4. Yep like Easter it is a pagan festival!!!

If Christ was born it was in the spring or summer by what is laid out in the bible.  Christians tried to hijack Christmas but it did not work and they are just figures of fun now as they celebrate the pagan festival and ignore their lord!!

Easter is set by the mood and is a different date each year.  It is even named after Estre the pagan goddess.  Again very funny to see Christians celebrating a pagan festival!!!

  5. To some, Christmas is a religious holiday, even though Christ was not born on December 25th, which is fine, people can choose to celebrate birthdays on other days, if the true date is not known, or for convenience.

For most, Christmas is a secular holiday.  If you ask anyone young enough to believe in Santa, "what is Christmas", few, unless they are very religious will mention "baby Jesus".
