Are you an Irish provisional licence holder? What do you think about now having to take a driving test?

A law has been passed in ireland to give provisional drivers till June to pass a driving test in order to drive unaccompanied.

  2. it is a ridiculous system, although I drove for 4 years on a provisional, having failed 2 tests.

    I agree that people must pass their test , to be allowed to drive on the roads, thinking back about how bad a driver I was......didn't fail my tests for no reason.......but 8 months time limit?????

    Perhaps if the waiting list to do the test was less than 8 months, it could be seen as a good idea. But the government have  to tackle this issue, and reduce road deaths. And this is a step, not a solution.
