I am anti-union. Because business can't survive when a group of people can care less about the workers and more about the dues they receive ever pay.

  1. no, that is your opinion, and you are entitled

  2. Yes.  I have been a member of a union at different times.  Each month they always asked for a extra couple of dollars for various causes.  And I felt they were not always looking out for our interests.

  3. Yes, I am anti-union. American labor priced it self out of the market and drove most manufacturing to other countries. Port Arthur, Texas has been a ghost town for the past fifty years because the tail tried to wag the dog and as always, it did not succeed. The AF of L and the C I O destroyed the economy of  an entire oil refining area in the fifties. The United Auto Workers did the same thing.

  4. Unions have done nothing but caused problem and it's just another ploy to take your monies for dues.  I belonged to a union they wanted to give me the privilege of doing an audit. All that was to sign his name to papers they didn't want me to see.

  5. I think unions can serve a useful purpose at times but they often go too far in their demands.

  6. Let's see? Unions help get more money per hour for workers already making 2 1/2 times the minimum wage. That increase is passed along to the average joe trying to put food on the table. Unions make it so a bad worker can not be fired therefore endangering the lives of other workers. Unions killed the old saying an honest days pay for an honest days work. The cost at the pump, grocery store, utilities, price of a home, price of a movie ticket and other thing can be tied to the union.

When the cost of living pay goes up 7%, unions hike that up another 5% for union workers. Making the cost of living go even higher for our friend joe. No, unions are not only bad for America they also helping to destroying it!

  7. That's only 1/2 the problem...have you ever tried to fire an incompetent worker who is with a union..it's a nightmare..and most of the time you can't...they would practically have to kill someone 1st.

Not to mention they keep businesses from modernizing for fear of losing workers...it's all about their own pockets.

Example..Vans tennis shoes..used to have a factory in California..they paid their workers reasonable wages...around 10bucks an hour(1980s-1990s). Some Union wanted them to unionize...they demanded free healthcare and wages to start at 20 bucks an hour...well needless to say the company closed up and moved to China..now you have 200 workers unemployed.

  8. No!  If ever I get a union job I will be happy as a lark!

  9. You must be kidding. Unions are responsible for gaining workers' compensation, for rules that protect workers' rights and health, and for the fact that the boss can't on a whim just cut your salary.

Unions give ordinary people power. Are they perfect? No. However, without them, think what would happen. Lunch? No... work through it.

safety gear? You donm't need it.

    man... read the history book.

And let's face it ineffective DEOs and stupid middle managers make a heck of a lot of money for being incompetent. leave the unions alons!

  10. Unions are good, they speak for the rights of the workers

  11. are you trying to p**s off the mafia?

  12. i am in support of unions in this country . first thing is when you say bad things about a union and how it is being run your talking about the leadership which is elected so that means they can be voted out and i think most of the problem is a lot of the members don't get involved in what goes on with the union so what they don't understand they critize now think about all those other jobs don't group together and at the mercy of whatever the ceo or gm thinks they should have and where do they go and all a union does really is enforce an agreement between them and the employer and if your that burned or angry about the dues issue get some coworkers and go to the union hall and see where your money is going
