  1. Coming from England, I don't feel the game there is as physical, so hopefully he will remain injury free for the next World cup, it should also allow him a chance to see what the opposition is like in the northern hemisphere.

  2. everything is dying in world sport, international quality superstars play lesser level divisions purely for the money, just like with the 20/20 cricket indians auctioning off all the players making them unavailable for world selection

carter's already dominating rugby at it's highest peak, i find him leaving that just ridiculous

  3. don't follow and Carter going there would be for the money and to avoid the public pressure of being an AllBlack.

Maybe less expectation will bring a better World Cup result. Could be much worse. Imagine if we had to qualify for own host ing

  4. I have caught the odd game here and there, but it does worry me the amount of players heading north. As professional sportsmen you can understand that they are trying to earn as much money to set themselves up for later in life while they can,it just means NZ rugby will end up being a feeder nursery for all those cashed up clubs, and if the players being saught have not played for the AB's then we end up seeing them playing against their country of birth, now that scares me...and its a very real possibility.NZ has to stay loyal to the"no all blacks picked from outside the country" stance..

  5. Hey don't knock european rugby!I'm from Munster and we were class well before we bought Howlett, Mafi and Tipoki (not that buying them was bad, they are brillant players). Maybe it's not the same as in the southern hemisphere because soccer is a much bigger sport here.

Anyway Munster for Heineken Cup 2008!

  6. Yes and No. Excited cause it means quality players entering europe so hopefully a higher level of play (though i doubt).

Worried cause it means one less place for an upcoming european to take and gain experience. Also means there's an opening in the super 14 and that another top class all black gains experience and gets good enough to give the n. hemisphere the usual thrashing.

In conclusion, i'm worried cos it sucks for us in the long run

  7. Maybe he should try his hand at REAL rugby and play league. At least it will give him a chance to really use his pace & see what his ball handling skills are like as well as his stamina.

  8. Excite me? No way, worry me? A little, p**s me off? Absolutely. European rugby is destroying rugby in every Southern Hemisphere rugby country, mostly New Zealand. The advent of super rich European clubs has and will continue to drain New Zealands player resources, this will in turn diminish the All Blacks as an international power house in rugby. This, I am assuming is their main intention. You b******s!

  9. yes i am... and it would depend which club he went to

  10. Not really though Im always interested to see how Kiwis are doing in Europe. Will be disappointing to see him go to Europe at his young age but if he does we have other youngsters waiting in the wings.
