  1. One parent, two daughters, four red buns; the paddle always gets a good workout on my little angels' backsides.

  2. Every family has it own criteria about disciplining children.

From what I see parents who are in Charge and Adult in their Household fair better than "family democracy' models.  Families are not a democracy.  Kids who are raised believing that they should have equal input in decisions are often discipline problems.  They do not understand the value of what their parents do.  They feel they are OWED respect for just being born.   Respect is earned.  Not automatic.

They also feel the world owes them a living.

Good discipline starts when the children are young.

  3. I am not afraid to discipline my kids.  However I prefer they respect me, versus be afraid of me.  Big difference.

  4. I am a SINGLE BY CHOICE MOM, so I handled all of the discipline.  at times I was very relaxed, but when I needed to, I cracked down, and my kids listened out of respect,  oh they tested the waters every day, but I would not budge..... if it was something minor, GET OVER IT, there are bigger & more worse issues to deal with........  No, NOT Afraid..........

  5. i do discipline my kids i have twin boys aged 15 they are very good boys they do the tidying when I'm at work they don't get into trouble they don't swear( well not in front of me ) and they make sure they are in at 7pm every night , they get whatever they want but they know if we have a bad week with money they dont ask for anything  what better is that

  6. No, not afraid......... I discipline very well........  and my kids listen out of respect & possible harsher consequences!

  7. My dad's not afraid to discipline me

"Sam come here for a minute *taps shoe on his hand*"

God Dammit i gotta run D; Haha.

  8. my mom is a little softy but if you make her mad watch out!my dad is the enforcer and he WILL hit us or yell at us.he used to even when i wasnt that bad he would lock me in a room with a bungy cord and beat me up.he doesnt do that anymore. but he also calls us names and verbally abuses us even when its not needed.

  9. My moms afraid to because I talk back. I don't mean to it's just that I'm so used to the whole middle school scene that if you don't stand up for yourself your going to get made fun of and stuff. So I'm so used to standing up for myself and sometimes it comes off as rude and with an attitude. And if she says something that offends me I automatically go into that middle school mode where I stand up for myself. And I usually end up crying after and my mom hates when I cry so she doesn't.

But my dad on the other hand doesn't care if I cry, he says if I thought about what I was doing I wouldn't be in this position in the first place. Which is 100% true...but us teenagers don't really have the ability to think before we act yet.  And my dad is not afraid to slap me or pull my hair, it's happened many times, and I'm sure there are many more to come. But what can I do, I'm just a 15 year old kid all I want to do is have fun, and I don't think about the outcome of the situation.

I don't get grounded, but my parents definitely have a way of making me feel like c**p and never wanting to do what I did wrong again, so I guess they think that they don't have a need to, because I learn from my mistakes.

  10. GOOD FOR YOU!

  11. I am not afraid to discipline my children, not one bit. But I have rules as a parent that I follow when it comes to disciplining. I am not afraid to give my children a spanking, but I won't hit my child with any foreign object and I won't spank them anywhere but the bum. I never give my children a spanking when I am angry. I prefer time outs, and that usually works. I have 10 kids (with one on the way) and I hardly ever have to spank them.
