Are you as arachnophobic as i am?

Question

if i see one in my room, even the ones about the size of a nickel, i wont be in that room unless it is dead or trapped in a jar. and if i try to catch it and it falls behind furniture or for some reason escapes, i sleep in a different room. i dont want ot be like this but i cant get over how nasty they are.

bfore i go to sleep i go around my room with a flashlight to check if one is in there, and if there is i wont calm down until its gone!

i do the SAME things!

i am completely scared to death of spiders! sometimes, if there is a spider in the room next to me i won't sleep until it's dead...

i hate them :(

Some spiders I am okay with.  Little house spiders, daddy long legs, and those tiny black and white ones I can coexist happily with.  It's the other ones though that have me running for the spider spray (and some can't be killed with that stuff).  Black widows, brown recluse, and hobos.....all try to see if they can turn my hair white.  And the hobo ones are AGGRESSIVE!  They will chase after you.

i have arachnophobia also, but not to that extreme.  I know the fear of spiders is pretty bad, but its not something you should let control your life.  I get rather uncomfortable if i know one is in my room, but that's why i don't check.  They generally hide in corners and mind their own business... and kill annoying pests.  So if an arachnophobe such as myself can admit that, i'm sure you can too.  Good luck w/ the phobia :)
