It is because we are a locked in two-party nation with the Demopublicans and the Republicrats keeping the lid on their goodies.

It is actually worse that a dictatorship, because it denies the citizens of the true one-voice one-vote right.

It has stolen the "government" from the people, because they know that the "people" are too lazy to challenge them and take it back.

Time for a new revolution!

I agree with what Chris said especially about the Republicans. The war is highly unpopular and the economy is in the toilet. A lot of people look at the Republicans as the part of the source for these problems.

No more disgusted than I have been in the last 8 elections. Pathetic choices are a tradition. No unexpected, after all the chumps that we elect have to appeal to a wide swath of their primate constituents. Besides, what qualified person would actually want the thankless job?

I pretty much expected it. The democrats seem to be satisfied with Obama, and the republicans needed someone more centrist/liberal since the republican brand isn't that popular.

I agree though, I can't see who I'd vote for from them either.
