My wife recently mentioned this to me and I wanted to know how many people are aware of this? Apparently, it would allow doctors to refuse to prescribe birth control to women under their care.

If this at all concerns you, follow this link and sign the petition.

  1. To Bush and most of the hardest core right wingers, your right to choose is not important. It is in this view that Nationalism takes hold, and you should think about the country more then yourself and other people.

  2. that would be like him to **** every ones life up!!

  3. I think our healthcare system is in shambles.. and leave it to Bush to make it that much worse.  I would sign any petition that keeps him from creating anymore laws that take away our rights as human beings

  4. Hmmm . . . this is a tough issue.  I was not aware of this.

I wonder if this would not be a matter of state medical licensing laws?

  5. it is another one of these  religious  idiots  trying to tell everybody what to do  many drugstores are already refusing to  sell pills    and would you know it ?? in texas and the south east mainly

  6. If they don't believe in birth control, they should not have to prescribe it. I am sure you can find plenty of doctors that would prescribe it for you.

  7. The link didn't work, but that does sound ridiculous.  Where else are they going to get it? over the counter?

  8. You are aware that a president can not pass a law, right? Congress can pass laws. a president can choose to sign it or veto it, but he can't pass a law. How embarrassing .

  9. Are you aware that Obama's nation wide health care will not cover baby's that survive partial birth abortion!  Believe it or not some doctors accidentally pull the baby all the way out when trying to kill it and then they can't finish!

  10. Id like to see the details of the law. But you can choose a different Doctor..

If you think that is immoral.

What about the Democratic plan. They want the Federal government to pay for Abortions for teen agers. And the teenager does not have to tell their parents.

That is kind of sick I think.. Id want to know if my little one was out spreading her legs..and I wouldn't want the rest of the country paying for her bad decisions.

  11. This isn't a new law.  All doctors have the right to not prescribe medication to their patients if they feel it will harm that patient's health.  Birth control is under that category.

  12. I believe what you are talking about is a law that would require insurance companies to cover birth control for women. Bush does not support this and neither do I. Birth Control Pills unless prescribed for  a medical condition should not be the insurance companies responsibility.

  13. Yeah, and Republicans are supposed to be the party of "less" government. Riiiiiiiiight. They don't want women to be able to decide whether or not they wish to carry a pregnancy to term...even IF it threatens the life of the mother or if the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest, they don't want to let g**s or lesbians marry, who is the US government to say who can and cannot marry? What's next, are they going to outlaw inter-racial marriage? And now they'll allow doctors the right to refuse a woman birth control? Just like they wanted to let pharmacists refuse the morning after pill. Crazy Big Invasive Government Lovin' Republicans!

  14. refuse based on what assumptions? there is boviously more to that law than what you are saying

EDIT: O, it's some bullshit petition. And here I thought you were gonna have something important about the law itself...

Link to law please, so we actually know what you are talking about

  15. Without even referrring to the link you provided, I have to say thats right up there with one of the stupidest things EVER to get sucked into.  Think about that for a minute.  Not only does it go against everything the US stands for, but no physician has the right to refuse treatment of any type.  And even if something this assinine WAS to be put in front of the congress or senate for voting, it would be laughable as well as shot down if  no other reason than for the money that the pharmaceutical companies are lining our lawmakers pockets with.   And do  we really need to discuss the aspect of that re: teen pregnancies, welfare, lack of health care, etc.

  16. this was the question that a reporter asked McCain and his head almost blew up~!!!

he was asked why should you vote for insurance companies to cover Viagra, but not birth control~!!!!

he had a spaz attack and said he would have to get back to her on that~!!!!
