yeah! you may laugh and say, what question is this?? ...but wait you miss the point.... the fact that throw effect also rely on cleanliness of balls and table condition make sense to me to ask this... I mean what do you prefer? clean and polished balls or balls with little dirt or dust....how about table condition??

  1. of course!!!

  2. Clean Yes, Polished No, and yes, the surface should be clean as well, in fact an occasional vacuuming is not out of order, use a canister vac with no beater brush, this will help to suck up little bits of chalk dust that get into the fibres of the cloth and even under it.  If you're getting a table reclothed, take a good look at just how much garbage gets through the cloth and onto the bed, you'll be suprised, and yes, that does make a difference on how a ball will act.  You should never put any kind of polish on the balls, and even the type and quality of the balls will make a difference.  If I'm in a pool hall I ask for a table with Simonis Cloth, and Centenial Balls, next step down, I look for a "Tour Cloth" and/or Aramith balls, below that I look for another pool hall.

  3. Very Aware of it in fact the only way to shoot if they are frozen togeather Most people think its cue ball spin that controls them untrue it is the throw of the shot

And the condition of the balls is a major factor if clean they maintain friction also the cloth being clean and in good shape

I wont say dirty then they will laugh at both of us so I wont play a serious game with MUD balls as they are called

  4. Throw...what's that? Sorry just learning the game and all the complicated terms confuse me.

    K

  5. YES LOL

  6. Johnny H pegged it just right...i play a very soft game of pool ,i depend alot on a clean smooth surface,i dont like when the ball hits the speed bumps and changes direction
