Are you aware of your roots?

Question

Do you move through life being aware of your roots? Do you know from where your heart goes on receiving energy, do you know who goes on breathing in you, do you know the life juice that is running inside you?

Please take this as a metaphor but not as a biology question.

Isn't it pointless to know my own roots, as my roots also have roots, which can be traced back to the creation of the universe itself.  And since no one will ever know how the universe was created, we will never know our roots.

Honestly, I've always wanted to do a research on my family tree, but i have never really known how to do it the right way. plus my extended family and I don't really get a long :[

anyway it sounds really exciting. I've always wished i was a part of a royal bloodline. like the movie, the princess diaries? but not to that Disney movie extent.lol.

Umm...I take the things that I did O! so wrong in my mis-spent youth and use the experience and knowledge gained to give back to the world as I can in the now.  My past is the foundation of my present, both of which are the roots of my future, so...Yes?

i think about this all the time

part of my lineage was hidden from me and i always found it difficult to know who i was

not that i necessarily based it on where i came from, but it would have been nice to know

i think i get energy from all kinds of places

but i do know that some of the people in my life ARE my rooting system. they are the ones i've chosen, or maybe they've chosen me.

they are my breath, they are my life and that's what keeps me going
