  1. Yes, unless you make at least 2 chargeable calls per month using BT. The charge is £3 per quarter, and you will get it under "one-off charges" (as £2.55 + VAT ). Therefore, if you are with e.g. "TalkTalk", make no calls via BT, but use 1571, you will incur the fee.

To use BT, dial "1280" before dialing the phone number which you require, but remember it must be a "chargeable" call and not one when/if you can get free BT calls.

  5. Yes I am sure you are charged for it. Anyway why are you still using BT, I switched to a much better provider who is cheaper, better service and a fantastic customer service dept, I had a fault and they were brilliant about keeping me informed about the repairs and called 3 times after the repair just to check everything was OK.

  6. I'm not 100% sure now, but I know it used to be free, but I'm sure I have read somewhere that they charge 10p per message ?

  7. im sure you are only charged for the personal one....where you can add your own message for callers to hear but the basic version is free.

  11. No. However, if you return the call and it is answered, you are charged. Therefore, you have effectively changed a free incoming call into a chargeable outgoing one. Let the caller ring back.
