How much do tip at a restaurant or diner?

how much do u tip at the bar?

when u go out with friends, would your rather pay for your meal, or divide the price by the parties your with?

I wouldnt consider my self cheap at all. But then again I worked as a waitress and know what a crappy job it can be. I depended on those d**n tips!

I would say that I am frugal, but I don't skimp on the tip. I never tip less than 20% unless the server was rude. I usually tip well even if the service is so-so just because politeness goes a long way with me.

No, I am not cheap at all. I think being cheap is a terrible quality to have, and it effects everything about your personality. No one wants to deal with a tight-wad.

I always tip 20%, unless the service is absolutely horrible. Everyone has their off days, and serving is a hard job. I am thankful to have someone serve my food and clean up.

As for splitting meals, it depends. Sometimes it's easier just to split the check evenly. Sometimes it's unfair, however, if other people ordered much more expensive meals or more alcohol. If everything is pretty much even, than I'm not going to worry about an extra few bucks here and there.

People who analyze everything down to the cent are annoying. You should enjoy life and realize that money isn't everything.

I generally tip 20%...more if the service is excellent...

I prefer to break up checks....some of the people I hang around will try to cheat on the tip if it's together....

this doesn't include my BF and GF, we pay together, it's other couples....
