because she is commander in chief of the Alaskan National Guard, and, that Alaska, as a state, borders foreign nations?

Um, this could be said about the Governors from...Washington, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, Maine, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

All of them would have bigger populations when compared to Alaska.

And, while we are at it, how about Hawaii, too, as they were attacked by foreign powers!

  1. It's all spin.  Wait til she opens her mouth on TV.  We'll see how little else they have to go one this time.

  2. I guess thats the great part, with so little experience, it's still more than Obama has. May that's part of the reason he picked her.... to highligh Obama's in-experience.

  3. It is her lack of Washington experiance that I like about her. For that matter it is Obamas lack of exeriance I like about him. I just dislike the rest of his positions.

Lets face it Americans are sick of the life long do nothing wahington lawyer.

Palin has life experiance. Her husband has a real job, her dad was a school teacher, her mom a school secretary. Her and her husband did not have enough money for a wedding. That is what I like about her.

We are ready for a real person in the White House. Enough with spoiled rich kids who have never had a job or worked for anything.

  4. How quickly you forget!

Only experience Clinton had: Governor of Arkansas

Only experience Reagan had: Governor of California

No foreign policy experience and Oh let's see USSR fell under Reagan.

    Enough said!

  5. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm STUNNED how people are spoon-fed info from TV  and just gobble it up like its true

  6. Shall we compare obamas experience? sorry im still at a loss as to where his EXP actually lies, in what areas?

Palin has WAY more in comparison, and is only running for VP. OBAMA on th eother hand, has WAY Less, and is runing for the nmumber 1 spot...

If you want to try to bash exp, try comparing apples to apples.

  7. Yes, American political "debate" is hilarious especially what the GOP is trying to sell now. Still Palin is a horrible choice and no amount of spin can change that simple fact.

The Palin selection demonstrates once again the dirty secret of American politics: that semi-fascistic forces exercise near-veto power over the Republican Party. The New York Times reported Sunday, based on interviews with several top McCain aides, that McCain had all but decided to select Senator Joseph Lieberman, who was the Democratic vice-presidential candidate in 2000, to run with him on a cross-party ticket based on all-out support for the war in Iraq.

Top aides told him—reportedly relaying warnings from several influential state party chairmen—that there would be protests on the floor of the convention if he selected a running mate who supports abortion rights, like Lieberman or former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge (a Republican).

McCain made the decision after his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama, chose Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware as his running mate August 23, passing over Hillary Clinton. The next day, McCain called Palin and invited her to meet at his Arizona estate on Thursday, where he offered her the second spot on the Republican ticket.

There is a strong element of recklessness and irresponsibility in McCain’s selection. He selected not only someone without any significant national or international experience, but someone whom he does not himself know and who is virtually unknown to the American public.

McCain had precisely one discussion with Palin this year, for 15 minutes at a conference in Washington last February, before calling her last week. His encounter with her Thursday, when he offered her the second highest position in the American government, amounted to two hours. Press accounts noted that their initial campaign bus trip—a six-hour swing from Dayton through Columbus to the outskirts of Pittsburgh—more than doubled the total time they had spent together.

With barely a year and a half in office as the governor of the country’s least populous state, Palin had been generally ruled out as a potential nominee. She herself told the Washington Post earlier this year that her selection was an “impossibility.”

The prospect of Palin, who has no experience and no known views on any foreign policy issues—or, for that matter, on most domestic ones—taking the helm as president may give pause to significant layers within the ruling establishment itself.

  8. 99% of Republicans i am sure were shocked at this choice ..they expected Romney because a McCain + Romney could have given Barrack + Biden a run for their money .

    McCain + Palin .... <<<<<<<<<   McCain + Romney

Its a fact and spin spin spin ........ wont help ....now ..

  9. She is the ONLY one of the candidates who has any executive experience.  At least there is some basis to determine how she would govern.  There isn't anything to base that judgement on Obama, Biden, or McCain.

  10. So that means if you're a governor of a state like Wyoming, Vermont, North Dakota, South Dakota, etc you aren't qualified to run for president.  Sorry, but a governor is a governor.  Their decisions affect the lives of their citizens regardless.

Let's elect Obama and be Guaranteed to have someone in the top spot without experience.

  11. Do your homework and listen once in awhile.  And where was it you said you were when you were supposed to be in school?  Palin is nothing to get "cracked" up about, it shows how concerned and scared you are.  And where is Hillery now, the one that could help you?

  12. I am more concerned with what each presidential candidate has to offer, not their VP's.  I do not believe like some lefty conspirators that Cheney is actually in charge.  Do you believe Palin would actually be the one in charge?

McCain and Obama are each in their own ways unworthy of my vote.

  13. I understand she is sending Troops to Atlanta to protect Tara from the Russians.   Good old Songbird McCain encouraged her.  Said we had to get the Russians out of Georgia!!!

  14. yup.....but NONE of "those things" could be said about Obama...

  15. i dont UNDERSTAND

  16. she has as much experience as clinton did when he assumed office,

  17. Alaska's entire population is less than three quarters of a million people.  That's one fifteenth the population of Los Angeles County.

I hardly think that gives her the executive experience she would need if the call came in two weeks after the inauguration that President McCain had just suffered a massive coronary and she was suddenly the leader of the free world...

  18. No but I am giggling at the Dem's desperation.

  19. Democrats should take some notes on how to spin Obama's lack of experience!

  20. Want to know where Obama believes the crux on his foreign policy experience is?

Obama: My childhood is foreign policy experience

‘I spent four years living overseas when I was a child living in Southeast Asia,’’ said Obama, who was born in Hawaii and spent four years in Indonesia. ‘‘My father is from Kenya. That’s where I got my name. He’s passed away now, but I still have family.’’

‘‘A lot of my knowledge about foreign affairs is not what I just studied in school. It’s actually having the knowledge of how ordinary people in these other countries live.’’

Yeah well, too bad we don't have any operations involved with Indonesia or Kenya.

    Idiot.

  21. I think she has the same experience if not more than the Dem. pick for the leader of their party.
