I was just wondering if you were taking any hunts before the seasons over. If so what are you going to hunt and what calibre and rifle are you bringing? What ammo are you bringing?

This year my father and me both got moose bull tags out of the draw so we are going on the 18 th in northern ontario. i went 3 years ago and my hunting partner got a 56" bull. I am bringing a 300 wsm browning A-Bolt stainless hunter, with 180 grain winchester XP3. Hopefullly i will get a big one this year

  1. I am hunting around my house, Bear and deer! I use a 30-30!*

  2. Indiana whitetail deer.......50 cal blackpowder Kentucky rifle

  3. Probably headed for central Texas to take an eland (yes, the African antelope) for some meat.  There is a cattle ranch up there that runs a herd of about 200 animals and needs to have some yearlings taken out.  My wife will use a 6.5X55 Swedish in a M700 Remington.  I will back her up with my 7mm Rem mag in an M700 Sendero.

BTW I've used the 6.5X55 to take red deer, oryx, hogs, fallow deer and blackbuck.  It is the rifleman, not the rifle.

  4. i got 3 deer tags 2 doe 1 buck using my grandfathers mark 3 lee enfield handloaded with 125 grains of imr 4831 pushing a 215 grain woodleigh weldcore bullet at 2600 fps at around 3000 ft lbs of energy and shots will be around 150 yards so it suits that big 200 lb. 12 point with the heavy drop tines and my dads marlin 336c in 35 rem using 220 grn jfn ammo from buffalo bore for does at 100 yards so it will drop that fat cow out there and punch a big hole in her nicely like a cowboy sniper and my matthews dreanalin 2 and pse x force with 275 grain easton fmj arrows topped with magnus snuffer ss broadheads and muzzy mx-4 broadheads for 2 management croc tags and my 30-06 using 180 grain core lokts for antelope and my 12 guage 2 3/4 inch using slugs for a mangement buck hunt i was invited to yesterday and i am only taking the buck and 1 doe i am planning on getting with my enfield and the rest of the meat is being donated to the venison fund or whatever its called and i am donating the croc meat but i am saving the leather and skins of the other deer and crocs for jackets boots belts hats and excetra
