Earth hour is a project that tonight from 8 to 9 o'clock, you should turn off all your lights to "raise awareness" of "global warming."

I plan to turn ALL of the lights on in my house, including the outdoor lights. I'm plugging in my portable spotlights outside, too... and will have BOTH CARS in the driveway idling for an hour with the headlights on high-beams.

I think everyone should follow my example and do the same, we'll call it "common sense hour" to "raise awareness of ridiculous stunts that are nothing but absurd symbolism and feel-good hippie c**p"

Who's with me ????

  1. get a liiiiife loser!

  2. ok if you dont support it, it doesnt mean you have to be an jerk.

it doesnt mean you have to turn extra lights on that you use anyone on a normal day or night?

    what will you accomplish.... NOTHING.

  3. I'm turning every electronic appliance and or device on for the whole night. I have to look out for my investments in the energy sectors. PEOPLE LEAVE YOUR ELECTRICAL ON!

  4. That sounds like fun.  Actually I was hoping that most folks would be inclined to do what was asked and turn lights off.  I was going to spend the time trying to find a satellite video coverage maybe from the ISS to see what it would look like.

  5. I thought earth hour was were we turned off all our power for a hour.....

  6. I'm with you if you pay my power bill for a month

  7. gas is to expensive to leave my truck idling for an hour.

    wow danny ur an idiot.

  8. sure, pay my electric bill though. wow, you are really stupid

  9. What is wrong with you? Your carbon footprint for tonite will be off the charts! I for one will combat your attempt to destroy our planet by:

    1. Turning off everything electrical in my house, including my dogs electric blanket

    2. I bought a dozen rechargeable lanterns, a portable rechargeable TV, laptop computer and a battery-powered moped. I am charging them all right now along with my cell phone so it will be ready in time for the 8pm shutdown. (I also found a battery-powered electric blanket for my dog, so i had to charge 4 D cell batteries to make it work)

    3. Turned up my 2 refrigerators and freezers for the next several hours to the max , level 10, so I can unplug it at 8pm without risking spoiling the food.

    4. Did the same with the heat, got thermostat set on 85 until 8 pm when i shut it off for an hour.

    5. Raced all around town fast as i could to purchase all this stuff, even took the freeway to save time, even though i actually, uh, well i drove about 18 more miles than i should have, but I get almost 14 mpg!

Now, what do you think of that Mr Planet Destroyer!

  10. h**l no, this is all just a scam to make us feel like we are acutally doing somthing to stop a non-existant problem.

  11. i am doing the same

  12. Well, even though I don't really believe "global warming" is an issue, I'll participate because not only is our energy a precious luxury, but the night sky will be beautiful with the lights downtown turned way down low  :)
