Question:

Are you doing chair sashes? Do you think anyone will notice?

My reception hall provides white chair covers with white bows, I keep toying with the idea of buying tulle in my wedding color (purple) and just doing them myself, but then think that noone will notice and it won't make the place look much different.

What do you think?

  1. Honestly, I doubt that anyone is going to notice - especially you because you will be so busy that day.

If you have it in your budget it and you have the time then I would go for it - but in the end it might not be worth all the extra work.

  2. I'm not even doing chair covers.  I'm going with the chairs as provided by the venue.

That is an added expense that doesn't really matter in the end anyway.  I'm sure it looks lovely when the room is empty and the chairs are all situated at the table, but once people file in and are seated or up dancing - - nobody is going to notice if you have chair covers or sashes.

  3. Trust me, no one will notice. I have been to  7 weddings in the last 6 months and I cannot tell you what kind of chairs or sashes that any of them had. I more looked at the bride and groom, the food and the cake.

  4. I performed a wedding last week and the chairs at the reception were covered in white with bows in the wedding colors.

The same colors were in the flower arrangements & the napkins in the glasses atop the tables (this was a professional job done by the venue)

Sometimes it works, but truthfully,  I think this one was a bit too busy.

  5. if your questioning that it makes any difference it prob does not! try to spend your money on things that are important to you. my band, dress and flowers are  important to me so thats where i will spend my money

    Good luck

  6. It's a nice touch so if you have extra time and money go with it...  It's not needed though so if you don't get to it it's not a big deal

  7. Its not a needed item and it will cost you a bit to do each one, plus the added stress.  you will have your colors elsewhere in the dresses, flowers and centerpieces, it will be fine!
